LIVE VIDEOS from WMSE RADIO!
Hopefully you tuned in for our live radio performance on
Tuesday, June 17th on Milwaukee's favorite (and practically only) radio station, 91.7 WMSE. Our videos of the performance are now posted...check out the media page!
I P O my f#!king god!
Thanks, Milwaukee, for giving us some love at the first ever Milwaukee IPO weekend. We had a blast and hope to do it again.
Over two dozen bands performed for this event, including the Dark Horse Project, Stükenberg, The Nice Outfit, Revolush, and Jack Rodee's own SPILL (reunion) featuring Don on guitar. Thanks to Jim Linneman, David Bash, Chris Johnson, and New Glarus.
LISTEN UP!...
We pressed record some time ago, but at last we have a few songs on our MEDIA page. Still some mixing to do, but these are getting there.
IF YOU WERE AT SHANK HALL...
...on Saturday the 7th, then we love you. Thanks for coming out and having a drink with the band. If not, you can still make it up to us Saturday the 29th at Points east Pub.
IT WAS NOT LEEDS, BUT...LIVE, OUTDOOR, FREE, BYOB
THANKS TO ALL who attended the show at Humbodlt Park. The weather was London-esque, which made for a great finale of Who numbers.
80 years of rock and roll
Collectively, the Pugilists have more than 80 years of experience in the local music scene. They were drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon when the local plant was still in business - long before it was cool. They were even rockin' the mullet when it was in fashion. "If you could grow a mustache," added vocalist Jacke Rodee, "that would be a sweet accessory."
In addition to sporting the latest fashion back in the day, they also played in more than 50 local bands and toured everywhere from Waukesha to Japan.

First round bell rings
Former Lackloves bassist Jack Rice, now resident in Madison, alerts us that his new band The Pugilists debuts Saturday night at Points East Pub with West of Rome.
Rice is joined by singer and guitarist Jack Rodee and fellow former Lackloves, drummer Nick Verban and guitarist Don Moore in the band, which has backed up Nick Pipitone at some recent gigs.
